For the first four weeks of this term we will work in groups to create a front page of a newspaper. We will use the criteria stipulated on the NIE Newspaper Front Page Design Competition.
We have seven newspaper groups operating in our classroom. Each member in the group has a responsibility to complete by Friday on week four.
We will need to write 2-3 news stories, create an editorial on the topic; Reading a dying art or an essential skill. We will also have to create an infographic to support our editorial. Our artists in the group will need to organise the masthead, top boxes and create an advertisement for a new magazine.
The criteria for each section of the front page the design needs to be adhered to, so we need to check with the NIE website, as we work through our responsibilities.

Our groups newspaper group is called Franklin Focus! It's a fun experience, designing a newspaper!
Our newspaper group name is "The Aim High Daily".It's really fun making a newspaper about our school.
