This Term and last our class and a few of the other classes around the school have been running a staggered marathon. We usually run 1.6km a day and we have 10 weeks to complete the challenge. to Bayer Growers Stadium where all competitors will receive a medal for their participation. Our class have enjoyed running and keeping up with their fitness at school and at home. We hope we can all be at the finishing run and keep up with our fitness.

Major Production

In term 3 and 4 the year 8's have been going to their Music Enrichment or Major Production class. Some of the students that signed up for a Major Production Class go there every Thursday Afternoon. A few of the Major Production Groups are; Mr Sibley's Props Group, Mrs Pearson's Scenery Group, Mrs Nicholson's Fabric Group and the Major Production Cast who are working with Mrs Griffin and Mrs D. Mrs Pearson's Scenery Group paints the major scenes for the Grease Production, Mr Sibley's Group make the props for the production and Mrs Nicholson's Group make the clothes for Grease. We are all having loads of fun and hope to carry our skills into later life.

Counties Rugby

BubbleShare: Share photos - Find great Clip Art Images.

On Wednesday the 29th at Pukekohe Intermediate Jason Whare and Jeremy came to our school for 1 week to teach all the classes in our school about rugby. The first thing we did was a warm up game was called stuck in the mud.We had to do t.v screen, core, cheek to cheek and tackle. It was good to learn how to tackle says Brendan. The whole class had to tackle the bag to the finish line and the first one there wins. Then we had to keep on tackling the bags. It was a great day and everyone involved had a very fun time.

Triathlon

The Franklin Primary Schools Triathlon was a really fun, time with lots of people in our school achieving excellent results. In our class Danelle, Lachlan, Mathew and Steven competed and did really well. It was held at Clarks Beach and involved a 200m swim, 8km bike and a 2km run. It was our last year of primary so we had to do it.We wouldn't of been there if it wasn't for the parents that transported us to and from the venue. A big thank you to Mr Jameson for organizing the Pukekohe Intermediate Team.
