Hi Everyone welcome back to Term 3.

This term we will be very busy looking at the Olympic Games. We will create a class newspaper and complete an entry for the NIE Front Page Competition. If this wasn't enough to keep us busy we will continue to improve our mathematical knowledge on the mathletics website....
Have fun and work hard.

Beijing Olympics 2008

This term we will be looking at the question:
How have the Olympics impacted society?

We are all looking forward to finding out more about Beijing/ China, the Olympic events, venues, uniforms, countries competing and the competitors striving for Olympic glory.
Students will be able to follow their own path after the Immersion stage and will integrate technology into their research projects.
Keep watching this space to find out more....

Class Newspaper

On Tuesday 29th July Rosemary Davis from Newspapers in Education came to Room 23 to teach the class how a front page is put together. We built a front page from scratch over laying white space, we learned the terms for parts of the front page and how a title is generated.

We will use this new knowledge to help design and build our own front page for the class newspaper.

For more information keep watching this space and check out the NIE website.

Mathletics

Mark Webster from Matheltetics came to up date our class access to a wider range of lear
ning areas. We have all been busy before school, during maths and during wet lunchtimes, trying to increase our scores and better our knowledge.
